Try three ground-school foundation exercises

These original examples demonstrate worked explanations. They are not official DGCA questions or a prediction of an examination paper.

1. An aircraft travels at a constant groundspeed of 120 knots. How far does it travel in 25 minutes?
120 knots means 120 nautical miles per hour. Convert 25 minutes to 25/60 hours. Distance = 120 × 25/60 = 50 nautical miles. This simplified exercise assumes constant groundspeed; it is not an operational flight plan.
2. A steady fuel-consumption rate is 30 litres per hour. How much fuel is used in 40 minutes?
Fuel used = 30 × 40/60 = 20 litres. This calculates consumption only. It does not include reserves or establish the fuel required for an actual flight.
3. A quoted training package is ₹48 lakh and you separately budget ₹6 lakh for living expenses. What is the subtotal before other costs?
48 + 6 = ₹54 lakh. Check whether living expenses are already included in the quote before adding them. Other categories such as travel, medicals, conversion and contingency still need checking. These numbers are an arithmetic example, not an Aerogenesis offer.

See how we teach

Our teaching combines pilot-led explanations, a proprietary question bank, a structured learning system and an in-house RTR practice simulator. Ask a mentor to demonstrate how a topic becomes a worked question and how practice results guide revision.
