Why the USA

Weather consistency is the real reason the USA works. Florida's flying days translate directly into a planned 11–12 month flying-training window — the single biggest lever on your total CPL timeline. Combined with a modern, standardised fleet and FAA Part 141's structured syllabus (cleaner documentation for DGCA conversion than Part 61), it's why the USA remains the default recommendation for students who can afford the higher price point than India-only training.

The Aerogenesis Pathway

Flying training in the USA is Stage 2 of our Integrated Pilot Mentorship Program — after DGCA ground school in Bengaluru, before DGCA licence conversion back in India. Students fly at leading flight schools in the USA for roughly 11–12 months, logging 200+ hours across single and multi-engine aircraft with instrument privileges, then return for conversion.

How long does pilot training in the USA take? +
Around 11–12 months for flight training at our Florida partner school, following DGCA ground school completed in Bengaluru. The three sequential stages normally take 18–21 months under expert guidance, including conversion flying and documentation. DGCA assessment and licence issuance have separate timing.
M-1 or F-1 visa — which should I choose? +
Aerogenesis plans 11–12 months for its USA flying phase. Visa category alone does not determine duration or permission to work. Do I need a DGCA Class 1 medical before going to the USA? +
A DGCA Class 2 medical is required to begin ground school in India. Class 1 is required before your CPL is issued — timing it before departure protects your conversion timeline on return.

Licence Conversion

Give us 3 months’ advance notice. This allows your conversion to be planned before you return. The notice is a planning requirement, not an extra three-month conversion phase.

Your final cost and plan depend on your current logbook, the aircraft required, and your flying-hours compliance or shortfall against DGCA requirements.

Type rating is a separate decision.

It is excluded from these fees. Choose the aircraft and timing in line with job vacancies and industry demand.

How to read your training timeline

Aerogenesis normally plans 18–21 months for stages 1, 2 and 3 completed sequentially under expert guidance across its advertised countries. Ground training: 4 months. Flying: 11–12 months in the USA; 14–15 months in other advertised countries. Stage 3: approximately 1–2 months for conversion flying and documentation only. Give 3 months’ advance notice for conversion planning; this is not an additional training stage. These are indicative phase durations, not a promise that each student takes every stage’s maximum duration. Confirm your individual overall schedule before enrolment. DGCA assessment and licence issuance have separate, regulator-controlled timing.
