Greece offers the best flying-weather-to-price ratio of the EASA countries. Mediterranean conditions support 300+ VFR days a year, and integrated ATPL tuition starts meaningfully below Western European premium schools — while still carrying the same EASA licence recognition. The tradeoff is a smaller, newer training-school ecosystem than Spain or the UK, so school selection matters more here than elsewhere.
Cost & Timeline
Aerogenesis quotes ₹85 lakh for flying training in Greece. Ground training is ₹1.8 lakh for Air Regulations, Air Navigation, Air Meteorology and RTR Parts 1 and 2; Technical General is ₹60,000 separately, and Technical Specific is not taught by Aerogenesis. Licence conversion is estimated at ₹3.5–5 lakh. The 1–2-month estimate covers conversion flying and documentation only, with 3 months’ advance notice for planning. DGCA assessment and licence issuance take place separately and have no guaranteed processing time. The final cost depends on your current logbook, aircraft requirements and flying-hours compliance or shortfall against DGCA requirements. Type rating is excluded.
